Partner School Science Program (PSSP)

Uzay Kampı Türkiye initiated the "Partner Schools Science Program" in 2002, aiming to pair schools and students from different countries as "partner schools" to facilitate joint projects on science and space technologies, thereby contributing to the formation of global friendships. The program runs throughout the academic year, with students utilizing NASA's Distance Learning program materials to explore space sciences and technologies.

  • The Partner Schools Science Program conducts its activities using NASA-based learning materials, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics), and project-based teaching methods.
  • Students of the same age group from different countries are paired to form "partner schools." The entirely English-conducted program contributes not only to the academic development of students but also to their exposure to different cultures and the advancement of their language skills.
  • Participants, or "partner school students," receive project information in packages with themes such as "Living and Working in Space" and "Toys in Space" during the program. These are presented through interactive presentations by Uzay Kampı Türkiye's Distance Learning Specialist.
  • Following the guidelines in the packages, they conduct their own projects. The participants then present their projects in live video conference calls attended by Uzay Kampı Türkiye and other "partner school" students, where expert opinions on the subject are shared.
  • All project participants are entitled to join the International Summer Camp program, offered at Uzay Kampı Türkiye with special content and also known as "E-Pal Week," at a special discount.
  • In past years, E-pal weeks have featured guest speakers such as astronauts and cosmonauts Michael Foreman, Richard Linnehan, and Jean-Francois Clervoy, among others.

The projects are offered exclusively to school groups, and the training sessions are conducted via video conferences. Students who register for the program under their teacher's supervision exhibit the work they have done throughout the project at the end of the year in a special themed Galactic Summer Camp program during a science fair. Alongside their teachers, who guide them using materials provided by Uzay Kampı Türkiye, students participate in the Galactic Summer Camp program. They engage in science and fun-filled activities with their peers, including the use of astronaut simulators, a virtual space shuttle flight mission, Special Events Night, and barbecue parties; they are entitled to receive the Uzay Kampı Türkiye Graduation Certificate and a participation certificate for the project they followed.

Only applications made on behalf of the school group by the relevant teacher will be considered. To participate, please fill out the "PSSP Information Request Form" pre-registration form.

At the end of the year, students who exhibit their jointly prepared projects at a science fair at Uzay Kampı Türkiye also get to experience the Galactic Summer Camp, where they learn about different cultures, form new friendships, and develop their personal skills.

The Galactic Summer Camp is a summer camp program option for children aged 9-15. The scientific and fun activities offered at the Galactic Summer Camp provide a unique opportunity for children to make the most out of their summer vacations by learning while having fun and making new friends.

Participants of the International Summer Camp programs, which are organized with the participation of students from different countries and presented entirely in English, have the opportunity to improve their English and perhaps form long-lasting friendships with peers from foreign countries. The trainings, offered in a safe environment that meets international standards, utilize unique educational tools such as the Generation Mars Interactive Exhibition Area, Discovery Space Shuttle, and space station models; interactive games and activities are provided to boost children's confidence and support their mental and social development.
